Led by these young trio, the Oklahoma City Thunder ousted a tough Memphis Grizzlies team in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals
Kevin Durant scored 39 points on 13-of-25 shooting from the floor, consistently attacking the Memphis Grizzlies’ defense.
Russell Westbrook, had his first playoff triple double with 14 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds and James Harden added 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting off the bench as the Oklahoma City Thunder advanced to the Western Conference Finals to face the Dallas Mavericks in a best-of-seven series.
Westbrook’s triple double performance was the first in Game 7 since Scottie Pippen did it in 1992.

Great series. OKC proved to be tough under pressure. Now, beat the Mavs!
Good blog here man! Westbrook in game 7 finally showed some flashes of maybe changing his ways. It will be interesting to see if he can continue his ways as a more conventional point guard rather than the score first point guard that he has shown himself to be throughout the year and much of the playoffs. All the praise that Westbrook has received has seem to have gotten to his head and I wonder if game 7 was a sign of things to come. He’s got some good scorers around him. That #35 dude seems pretty decent. However, he is undeniably an incredibly exciting player and is part of what makes the Thunder such a fun team to watch. He is deadly in transition and if he gets that pull-up to me more consistent he could become one of the NBA’s best along with Durant. Also, you think you could check out my blog cuz I’d love to hear what you have to say http://chrisross91.wordpress.com/2011/05/16/hierarchy-established/
Durant and Westbrook are great players, despite their youth they have led the Thunder in the Western Conference finals. As a Spurs fan, I hope they’ll beat the Mavs!
