Shaq call it quits

After 19 NBA seasons and 4 NBA titles, Shaq decided to call it quits.

Shaquille O’Neal announced on Wednesday that after 19 seasons and four championship rings he’s calling it quits.

Here’s a look back at his career.

  • 1993 NBA Rookie of the Year
  • 2000-01 season  MVP
  • Three-time NBA Finals MVP (2000-02)
  • 28,596 career points (5th all-time)
  • 15-time NBA All-Star
  • 13 seasons with 20 PPG and 10 RPG (most in NBA)
  • 5,250 postseason points (4th all-time in NBA)
  • 216 postseason games played (3rd all-time in NBA)
  • Notable nicknames: The Diesel, Shaq Fu, Superman, The Big Daddy, The Big Shaqtus, The Big Shamrock and now the Big Finish?

O’Neal is one of the most dominant big man to ever play the game. The NBA will surely miss his presence and his entertaining personality.

  1. It’s about time he finally retires. Enough of trying to catch a 5th ring when you can’t play anymore.

  2. Good decision by Shaq, he has nothing left in the tank, he should have retires 2-3 years ago. I’m happy that he finally get the guts to do it.

QUIT when YOU CAN’T DO IT!

  3. Just sit on the couch and watch TV Shaq! Great player, but you need to just chillax now.

    You’ve done your part.
