Video: Lorbek helped Slovenia to third place finish

Last month, Spurs World reported about Erazem Lorbek joining the Slovenian national team at the EuroBasket. It seems like it’s paying off.

The Slovenians started their campaign by beating Montenegro 86-79, but it wasn’t easy.

In fact, Montenegro entered final quarter with a 61-60 lead, the fourth quarter was hotly contested, as both teams won’t give in. The game was tied at 79-79 with under 3 minutes left to play, when Slovenia finished the game with 7-0 run to win their opener.

Erazem Lorbek led Slovenia with 14 points and five rebounds, Goran Dragic had 12 points, while Samo Udrih added 11.

Nikola Pekovic ended up with 21 points in the losing effort as Montenegro lost their second straight game.

  1. Nice video! I enjoyed watching it. Lorbek seems like a very physical player and might help the Spurs too bad he signed to stay with Barcelona.

  2. Not so bad, but it look like Lorbek can’t guard NBA bigs. Montenegro pounded it on the inside time and again in fourth quarter and Lorbek was nowhere to be found. Luckily for Slovenia, their guards are shooting well.

  3. Thanks for sharing the video, Lorbek is good but if he will stay 2 more years overseas, I don’t see him helping the Spurs.
