Spurs’ De Colo stepped up as France remain unbeaten at London Invitational

Even without two of their key players, Team France posted another victory, winning their third straight game at the London Invitational Tournament.

With Team France electing to give Parker some rest, De Colo stepped up.

The French national team cruised past China 76-59 to stay undefeated in the tournament.

With Parker not suiting up and Turiaf injured, Nicolas Batum scored 15 points for Team France while Spurs draftee Nando De Colo turned out a great all-around performance scoring had 14 points, grabbing seven rebounds, handing out two assists and had three steals in 29 minutes of action.

France set the tone early, and limited China to just 7 points in the first quarter to establish a 15-point lead and held a 36-22 lead at halftime.

In the third quarter, France tried to blow the game wide open upping their lead 54-37 entering the final canto.

In the final quarter, China never threatened suffering their third straight loss.

Kevin Seraphin scored 14 points and Joakim Noah had seven points and nine boards for France.

Jianlian Yi led China with 21 points and Yi Li added 14 points in a losing effort.

France will play against Croatia, while China will face Great Britain on Saturday.

  1. Nice move by France resting Parker, De Colo get the chance to shine! The Spurs should definitely bring him to San Antonio next season, he is NBA ready!
